The Keys to My Heart
Life...
is it true that as you grow older life gets more tiring? is it true tat if you are older you are more matured? is it true tat age comes with more responsibilities? or is it true tat you are destined to meet ya prince charming?
life can be cruel at times. when you think tat you finally 'did' it or finally you are happy, something comes along and hit you real hard. smashed you deep into the ground and u have no strength to stand up. life is so unpredictable. tragedy strikes when you least expect it.
just a few days ago, prior to my departure for my 10days flight, a couple of things happened. a friend is diagnosed with an illness, another had to go for operation. One found out something and came to face with the uncertainty & mystery around the relationship. as for me, i found out that my younger bro got into a fight & is in boy's home. so sudden, so unreal.
am i responsible for what happened? yes. for not staying with my family, for not being there all the time. but am i responisble for playing the father figure & being the breadwinner at my age? maybe yes, maybe no. for me i believed its only natural to look after ya family.
BUT WHY? why me?
am i wrong to indulge in things tat will bring me away for that couple of hours?
am i a bad guy bcoz i smoke & party?
am i immature bcoz i am only 26?
am i stupid bcoz i have no savings and still lend money to my friends?
am i not good enough bcoz i am fickle-minded?
am i destined to be a love fool bcoz i am emotional and passionate?
who to appreciate me for who I AM?
what does relationship means to you? does it mean finding someone that you can share a life with mentally, physically & emotionally? someone that you can loved and be loved? someone that will be on your side for the rest of your life? REST OF YOUR LIFE... but who will know tat it can last so long?
should a opportunity that you have lost comes back, would you grab it? or would you let it pass again and hope something even better will come along? or would you just stick to what you have?
would you live life like there is no tomorrow bcoz life is so fucking short?

Koh Phangan
juz came back from a 11days holiday in koh phangan, thailand. it has been almost 4yrs since i last went to the island. i can still remember the times tat i was there. 1st time, i celebrated my 20th bday & got really sloshed. insisted on riding the bike back & ended up falling off when trying to start. laughed n cried at the same time while walking back to our hut, scaring the shit out of my fwens. the 2nd time, the three sacrifical leambs (aly, yun, miss jamie aka wen jun) & the dodo bird (me la! 1 & only!!) was born. 3rd time with luanne, the clam & our near death experience on the bike out in the mountains. 4th time with the whole gang including momo, zad & tim.
koh phangan has always been a secret getaway sort of place for me. a place where i can throw away everything n juz party, laze on the hamock, on the beach, sun tan & do watever. but the place has since changed a lot. its like a small, pure island being invaded. more n more 7-11 popped up, more n more tourists, simple huts bcame resort like. no longer simple n laidback.
this trip has to be the most drama filled one, right from the start.
1) momo met some prob and had to leave koh phangan b4 we could reach there.
2) costa's visa problem at the thai border.
3) aly forgot to take her bag from surathani. (stupid woman!)
4) costa got into a fight bcoz of bike prob. the locals actually took out a GUN to threaten him! n paid 2500baht for the bike.
5) hong paid 6000baht bcoz his bike got a few scratches.
and there' a saying, bad things come in 3s right. so the 6th incident...
6) ME! we paid 2000baht also bcoz of the BLOODY bike rental!!!
i thought i would be able to 'siam' bcoz 1 more day & i would be leaving the island but noooooo...... so wat happened was that some1 took a picture of me pillion-ing 2 people (miss jamie & yun) on the bike & in the bike rental agreement, it writes :"you could be fine up to a maximum of 5000 baht if more than 2 people is on the bike". so the owner try to extort the amt from me by showing the picture as proof & by claiming tat its the police tat wants the $!!!! the girls were furious and refused to give in. so we called the singapore embassy in bkk & finally ended up in the police station. n guess wat, the police said tat its not them tat wants the $, its the shop owner. so after much drama n negotiation (3hrs to be exact), we managed to settle the price at 2000baht. so in total, our group paid 10500 baht all bcoz of bike rental!
but all the incidents aside, i still enjoyed myself. the sea was really clear this time round & full moon party was a blast. we danced on the beach from 12am to 10am! went to some jungle party the day b4. quite a different experience to dance inside the forest. and i rode on the bike all the way to the other side of the island. such liberating feeling to ride. topless, with the sun and wind on you....

SQ 12 - Tokyo/Los Angeles
have not been doing any 4 sectors flight for a long time liao... the last one was taipei/l.a in oct 06 i think . Did frankfurt/new york before tat but couldn't post any pictures for that trip bcoz all the pics are with my team girl. i still dun own a digital cam but now i got my n73 to do the job!
its was great to fly with my team again. tania (my closer team girl who is juz 2 weeks my senior), adna, jana, joanne, michelle, fiona & sam. for me i prefer to do team flight bcoz u r not working with strangers thus saving the hassle of introducing yaself la... trying to figure out who is the bitchy 1 la... doing all the plastic things like oh i love to work with ya la. hahaha... but of coz there r cases where u meet really nice colleagues & new fwens were made. like my sista jane & min.
michelle being the more active 1 plans to go to universal studios and all of us went along. i have been there in 1996 with my secondary school and nothing much has changed. still the same rides & shows such as back to the future, jurassic park, backdraft & waterworld. nevertheless i still had a smashing gd time, esp the mummy ride where we forced timid cats, tania & adna to take the ride. i tell u... they were scared like hell and kept scolding me after the ride. me being the big stirrer told them its not scary at all. hahaha... wanted to go santa monica to do some shopping but got lost in the subway. so no american eagle nor a&F.
tokyo was nothing much... went shinjuku & did some shopping. the girls bought burberry blue label bags & me, a agnes b bag which i took a longggggg time to decide. it was a gd buy bcoz singapore selling at $170 more!
m looking 4ward to our next team flight to johannesburg. had always wanted to visit the safari. i think we will play paintball also. haha...

UPDATE UPDATE! =P
its been quite some time tat i last posted anything! the transition from 2006 to 2007 was quite hectic...
i was called up for flight on xmas eve, went to osaka. i maintained flight and went to osaka again! went to kyoto and visted the love shrine. the view from the temple was breathtaking and i bought a love amulet. =P and it SNOWED!!! for the 1st time i experienced snow and it was amazing.
house party on the 30th, quiet countdown on 31st, holiday in bangkok from the 1st then off to frankfurt.
back from frankfurt & its chris's birthday on the day itself! treated him to sushi tei with jane and jaslyn then went mamboo to continue the celebration.
PHEW! 2006 has been a fruitful year with unexpected changes and pleasant surprises. and i m happy to say that 2007 started really well... =)
i wanna take this chance to thank all my fwens that have been with me. i mentioned some names in my past post and missed out some so now i will try again! in no particular of merit. haha! here it goes.... chris, andrew, huiling, timothy ouyang, alyssa, wenjun, shu yun, trina, gen, henry, mel, ryan, jaslyn, travis, jane, min, qianlin, charel, anna, dee, er, xiu jiao, zhi xing, alvin, tania, jac, gus...
